Krushi Mahotsav 2006 : Junagadh Agriculture University

The farmers used to utilize 35 to 40 kg of seeds of ground nut per Bigha previously. Due to guidance obtained in Krushi Mahotsav - 05, now they use 15 to 16 kg seeds. Thus there is 50 per cent reduction in cost of seeds.
Due to result of Krushi Mahotsav, use of 40,000 tones of fertilizers in Kharif
season of 2005 in the districts of Saurastra has reduced.
Due to the guidance obtained in Krushi Mahotsav, cost of Rs.75 lakh for
pesticides for Kharif 05 season in District of Saurastra has reduced.
