Decrease in cost of electricity water, pesticides and soil health improved. |

The farmers using canal, bore water realized value of water for crops in
paddy, plantain, caster seeds and tur, resorted to proper use of electricity,
water, fertilizers and pesticides which resulted in reduction of cost used
increase in yield and income. Along with it, the health of soil improved. |
|
With increased use of organic fertilizers, fertility of soil and productivity
would increase in long run. |
|
Reduction of 14 per cent to 75 per cent was registered in use of pesticides.
The farmers took to grading, packing and marketing. |
