Krushi Mahotsav 2006 : Developmental activities to be undertaken at village levels during Krushi Mahotsav

The State Govt. would undertake the following developmental works:

	Water harvesting by check dams, bori bandh, village ponds and khet Talavadi target of starting of more than one works from these four works.
	Distribution of Soil Health Cards to farmers.
	Distribution of Kisan Credit Cards.
	Free distribution of modern agricultural implements and kit to 15 poor farmers of the village. Free distribution of kits to 10 more farmers of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes in Tribal Areas.
	Free distribution of modern agricultural implements and kit to 15 poor farmers of the village. Free distribution of kits to 10 more farmers of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes in Tribal Areas.
	Starting of new works of water shed and selection of site for entry points for it Sanitation campaign.
	Constitution of Swa-sahey Juth and cooperative milk society where they do not exist in the village.
	Distribution and plantation of Jatrofa plants useful in production of bio- diesel.
	Allocation of computer sets in selected villages under E-gram scheme.

	Installation of benches and plantation of holy trees in selected villages under Panchvati Yojana.
	Economical use of water drip irrigation system.
	Starting of works under Jyoti gram Yojana.
	Selection of beneficiaries of Wadi Yojana in Tribal Areas.
	Animal husbandry kits: In order to provide supplementary feed to the milk cattle during the current year, it has been planned to give 5 cattle breeders Mineral Mixture (I.S.I, standard) 10 kg and De worming boilers 2 (two) per village as inputs. Total 1 lakh kits will be distributed in the State.
	Immunization: During Krushi Mahotsav - 06 total 50,000,00 cattle will be immunized with various vaccines under cattle immunization programme in the State. It has been planned to use maximum the vaccine of mouth and foot disease of the cattle.
	Artificial Insemination: During Krushi Mahotsav 06, 1,000,00 cattle will be artificially inseminated free of charge.
	Besides this, the cattle breeders will be provided information on cattle, nutrition, cattle rearing, cattle breeding, cattle occupation, profitable dairying, information regarding saving the cattle from plastic products, information on blue bird spread recently etc. such other activities are undertaken, Distribution of leaflets.

New items besides the points included in last Krushi Mahotsav

	Increasing agricultural production by balanced use based on soil testing and guidance for increasing income of the farmers.
	Implementation of horticulture mission.
	Special information and guidance to the farmers for sorting, grading, packaging and processing for value addition in field of agriculture.
	Diverting the farmers to organic farming.
	Guidance for benefits of drip irrigation scheme to the farmers.
	Providing facility of attending programmes at places of choice where Krushi Mahotsav-06 is implemented for the tourists during Tourism Year.
	Guidance for scheme of Gobar gas at every village.
	Special planning for fisheries and fishing activities for selected villages of coastal areas.
	Awareness for contribution of women in the occupation of Agriculture/Animal Husbandry.
	To impart information to the farmers regarding E-governance, Guj-Krushi net and Agris net.
