Scientific farming adopted abandoning traditional farming.

There was a shift through Krushi Mahotsav in age old farming of Central Gujarat, use of traditional seeds, indiscriminate use of fertilizers, pesticides, and inefficient use of irrigational water etc. The farmers have been motivated to use scientific methods.

Income of farmers pursuing farming of paddy, maize increased.
Most of the farmers living in interior areas of Godhra-Dohad used to grow old varieties of paddy-maize. But due to guidance they planted new varieties and harvested increased crops of Rs.415 in paddy and Rs.1,675 in maize per hectare.
