They undertake following activities related to establishment for Class-1 and Class-2 officers of the department.
 

 K-8 Branch

All activities related to Horticulture department e.g. establishment, Service related matters, deputation of officers, their confidential reports, purchase of stationery and other equipments, Budget related matters for Plan-Non plan and Centrally sponsored and Special Component Plan schemes

2 They handle activities related to telephone connection, Tea plantation and Palm Oil, horticulture and fruit production control, Market Intervention Schemes (Horticulture crops).

 K-9 Branch

Various activities related to Class-3 and Class-4 employees of Agriculture department e.g. Wage rates, Qualifications, Leave sanction, Deem date, Stepping up, Pension gratuity, transfer, deputation etc.

2 Various activities related to Class-1 and Class-2 employees e.g. Training, MMC/PhD, sending officers for training to out of state/within state, Group Insurance scheme, Medical reimbursement, approval for air travel, leave, LTC, Charge allowance etc.
3 This branch also handles various activities of Directorate of Agriculture e.g. purchase of office equipments & its maintenance, purchase of vehicles, transfer of assets of Land Development Corp. and Directorate of Agriculture, renting of office building etc
4 Budget related matters for establishment, checking of proposals for Building construction advance, Vehicle advance, approval of pre-audit
