Under
the Technology mission on Cotton mini mission
III new market yards and improvement of
existing yards for trade of cotton having
open sheds for cotton oxen, proper parking
area, grading laboratory and equipments,
Farmers Information Center, and other facilities
were being established in the state under
the nodal agency of Gujarat Agriculture
Marketing Board. Due to intensive promotion
and proper guidance in last 3 years, Board
has been able to get 41 projects of TMC
(list attached) sanctioned worth Rs. 77.13
crores and ranks third in the country next
to Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Computer
network connection to APMCs under "Agmarknet”
scheme of Directorate of Marketing and Inspection,
Government of India. At present 280 main
yards and sub yards are equipped with computer
& Internet facilities and are sending
daily prices of arrivals to the Agmarknet
site.

commodity exchange Board of India. Other

Corporation, Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation
and National Institute of Agricultural Marketing
